    Senior Risk Management Analyst

    This position will take the lead in handling a wide variety of insurance functions and will also oversee the day-to-day activities of the Risk Management department. This role will routinely interface with insurance brokers, risk management vendors, consultants, and various internal stakeholders. This position reports to the Manager, Risk Management.  

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

    • Take ownership for collecting and confirming exposure data for renewal submissions. This includes collection of property values and documentation of plant expansions and interdependencies.
    • Partner with Manager, Risk Management in the placement of all property and casualty insurance programs. Will take the lead on placing some lines of insurance.
    • Partner with Manager, Risk Management on the financial analysis of insurance renewals and the development and issuance of global insurance budgets. Tracks spending to budget. This also includes forecasting, allocations, accruals, and accounting true ups. Routinely communicates with Accounting and Finance functions and businesses.
    • Proficient working with Excel and RMIS systems. Understands the data flow between internal and external systems, takes ownership for establishing reports and assessing data obtained. Able to transfer data to meaningful dashboard reports for management.
    • Responsible for insurance functions of the department including coordinating with the business units on Workers Compensation state filings, policy reviews, and annual audits.
    • Oversee outgoing certificates of insurance process and determines appropriate response to requests for exceptions.
    • Evaluate exceptions to insurance requirements in contracts and leases with the help of broker and provide guidance to internal contacts on amended language.
    • Support M&A due diligence as needed.
    • Partner with Manager, Risk Management on property and casualty claims handling and tracking, which may include interaction with TPA, Forensic accountants, in-house and outside counsel, broker, and other internal stakeholders.
    • Review, revise and/or develop policies and procedures for the department with the mindset of focusing on continuous improvement.
    • Maintain Risk Management internal website and summaries of Insurance. Work with all internal systems such as SAP.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/Training:

    • Bachelor’s degree required, Business or Finance degree preferred.

    Related Experience/Requirements:

    • Must possess a minimum of 4-10 years of experience in risk management or insurance, preferably in Corporate Risk Management.
    • Experience in international property risk management and all other commercial insurance lines of business required.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills to deal with complex business and technical issues.
    • Solid working knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables), Word, PowerPoint, and RMIS systems.
    • Strong communications skills with ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, including C-suite.
    • Operate independently within own scope of responsibility. Handle multiple tasks with competing requests. Able to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
