Sr. Analyst, Global Risk & Insurance
The Team You’ll be Joining:
Baxter’s Risk Management Team is a high exposure / strategic team with critical responsibilities of assessing company risks and placing insurance coverage to hedge company exposure
Risk Management coordinates and implements global insurance and risk programs, sets the strategy and guidelines for risk management efforts and partners with the business, functions, and various key stakeholders to identify, assess and manage risks
Team reports into Baxter’s Treasury function
This role reports into the Director, Global Risk Management and Insurance but supports entire team with automation initiatives
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Create key operational and strategic dashboard metrics across all areas of risk whether through RMIS system, Excel charts or PowerPoint presentations. Assess risk appetite and measure insurance program performance
Leads automation project, provide proactive analysis of current projects and analytical review of reported results to update leader on ongoing projects
Subject matter expert on Baxter’s RMIS system (Riskonnect), utilize this expertise to identify systemic solutions that solve financial and business needs for the department
Support / maintain data within RMIS system. Analyst plays a part in shaping the data infrastructure and setting up processes to maintain data integrity
Consolidate and analyze insurance underwriting data for management review
Create solutions to automate the annual insurance renewal/underwriting process
Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
Lead efforts to create and update Risk Management’s internal website built on SharePoint
Document processes and procedures to appropriately build a library of materials so that others can assist with the system administration when needed
Manages process for issuing all insurance certificates annually; handles requests for property and liability certificates of insurance- determines appropriate response and communicates with broker/vendors on the issuance of special certificates
Acts as a resource for business units on risk management issues involving contracts as they relate to insurance/risk management
Ensure compliance with Records Retention process. Maintains insurance policy portfolio and risk management policies, ensure document are retained and filed on timely basis
Create and Maintain TCOR dashboards including total incurred losses, premium, mitigation expenses, etc. for management review

Education and Experience
Minimum of bachelor’s degree or country equivalent; Business, Risk, Finance or Accounting preferred
4+ years working in Risk Management, Insurance Brokerage / Risk Consulting or Financial Analyst in a fast paced and dynamic business setting preferred
Strong Interpersonal Skills – you will be interfacing with colleagues at all levels of the organization
Enviable organization skills – we’re looking for someone that is very detail oriented and comfortable working with numbers
Excellent time management skills – you’ll be handling variety of tasks simultaneously
Expert level knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Strong working knowledge of SharePoint
Strong written and verbal communication with natural ability to establish means of communication with various stakeholders
Other Requirements
Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Deerfield, IL
Return-to-Work Designation: 2-3 days a week in-office
Travel: 0-5% of the year
